Hampden Bank reports strong financial results for 2024 and growth plans for 2025
In our annual results for 2024, both deposits and lending grew by double-digits while the number of clients reached 6,000, supported by introductions from clients and professional advisers.
Hampden Bank chair Simon Miller to retire from the board
Simon Miller has announced that he will retire from the board of Hampden Bank in August 2025. Having previously helped to found the bank in 2010, Simon was appointed chair in May 2020.
Introducing Hampden Bank and our new Edinburgh office
We have relocated our Edinburgh office from 9 Charlotte Square, where we opened in 2015, to a newly developed double-townhouse office at 20 and 21 Charlotte Square, the iconic square that is part of the city’s financial district.
Hampden Bank adds new 3-year fixed lending rate
We have added a 3-year fixed rate to our suite of fixed lending products. We now offer 2-year, 3-year and 5-year fixed rates, as well as variable rate lending, to personal and commercial clients. Rates can be offered on a capital and interest, interest only and part and part basis.
Julian Wren joins as new Banking Director
Julian joins from Arbuthnot Latham where he was Senior Commercial Banker. He has also previously worked as a Commercial Banker at Coutts where he started his private banking career. At Hampden Bank, he will provide commercial and personal clients with a bespoke service including day-to-day banking, deposits and a range of tailored borrowing.
Relaunch of our digital banking service
We have relaunched our digital banking service with a new look banking app. The upgraded app, which replaces our original banking app, provides clients with additional, easy-to-use functionality for their personal and business banking needs. The app also supports logins to our upgraded desktop banking service, introducing a new layer of security which uses a smartphone to authenticate the user and payment requests. This additional layer of security is designed to help protect clients from fraud.
